WHAT IS BACKFLOW?
When used in plumbing, backflow refers to an unwanted flow of water in the reverse direction. It can be a serious health risk if a potable water supply gets contaminated with chemical or biological waste.

Backflow Prevention Assemblies are devices used to protect potable water from such contaminants and pollution. By federal, state and local requirements annual testing is required to ensure each assembly is in good, working condition.

When required testing fails to produce passing results, assemblies must be cleaned and/or repaired as needed and retested. An un-repairable assembly must be replaced.
